South Korea looks to Southern and NuScale
This week, the United States and South Korea have taken two steps toward deepening their nuclear partnership through two notable announcements. First, the majority-state owned Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed a memorandum of understanding with Birmingham, Ala.–based Southern Nuclear.

Dual Fluid is creating an entirely new kind of nuclear reactor that halves the cost for electricity and hydrogen. It can use nuclear waste as fuel and is walk-away-safe. The principle of operation, based on different fluids for fuel and cooling, is protected by a patent.
