Project Omega emerges from stealth mode with plans to recycle U.S. spent fuel
Nuclear technology start-up Project Omega announced on February 11 that it has emerged from stealth mode with hopes of processing and recycling spent nuclear fuel into “long-duration, high-density power sources and critical materials for the nuclear industry.”
We are a team of researchers and engineers who aim to develop innovative technologies for various sectors of the energy industry. Our solutions address the needs of a new generation of energy production, storage, and transportation, with a focus on emerging materials and technologies. We have expertise in areas such as SMRs, ATF, thermal-hydraulic measurements, high temperature and other challenging techniques, modeling and simulations, multiphase flow modeling/benchmarking, unique simulation heater rods for diverse testing and experiments, and high-performance spacer design, modeling, testing, and qualification for SMR, fast reactor, ATF, and other advance fuel designs.
