South Korea looks to Southern and NuScale
This week, the United States and South Korea have taken two steps toward deepening their nuclear partnership through two notable announcements. First, the majority-state owned Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed a memorandum of understanding with Birmingham, Ala.–based Southern Nuclear.

Duke Energy, a Fortune 150 company, is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. The company has approximately 51,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the Carolinas (including 11,000 megawatts of nuclear generation), Midwest and Florida, providing electricity to 7.8 million customers, and natural gas services supplying more than 1.6 million customers in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and the Carolinas.
