NRC reorganization aims to speed up licensing
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced yesterday that it is launching a significant reorganization to streamline decision making, consolidate functions, and align with national goals for more efficient licensing and deployment of new nuclear technology.
The changes are intended to meet the requirements outlined in President Trump’s Executive Order 14300, “Ordering Reform of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,” and EO 14210, “Implementing the Department of Government Efficiency Workforce Optimization Initiative.”

ANS members have free electronic access to all three of ANS's technical journals. For access to articles, members must sign in to the ANS website before clicking through to the Taylor and Francis Online Platform.
Publication in ANS's journals is free of charge.
Optionally, authors can choose to publish their research open access via Open Select, a feature of ANS's publishing partner Taylor & Francis. Open Select requires payment of an article publishing charge (APC) following peer review and acceptance of a submitted manuscript. The APC rate is $2,990 per submission. Articles published Open Select are made freely available to the public upon publication.
