A dynamic method to study the release of fission gases from fuel specimens during irradiation is presented. The main purpose of the work is to show how a dynamic method can discriminate between diffusion and diffusion-trapping processes by observing the different behavior of the release rate transfer function, with respect to neutron flux oscillations, for the two models.
