Division Spotlight
Thermal Hydraulics
The division provides a forum for focused technical dialogue on thermal hydraulic technology in the nuclear industry. Specifically, this will include heat transfer and fluid mechanics involved in the utilization of nuclear energy. It is intended to attract the highest quality of theoretical and experimental work to ANS, including research on basic phenomena and application to nuclear system design.

The 90Zr(n,p) 90Y cross section has been measured between 3.55 and 6.02 MeV and at 15 MeV by using an activation technique. The 91Zr(n,p) 91Y cross section was measured between 4.32 and 6.02 MeV, and upper limits were set on the 92 Zr(n,p) 92Y and 94Zr(n,p) 94Y cross sections at 6 MeV.
