DTRA’s advancements in nuclear and radiological detection

A simple method of fabricating large plastic shells has been developed for use in future inertial confinement fusion experiments. This fabrication technique is based on the emulsion method and uses an interfacial polycondensation reaction between the water and oil phases. The largest shell obtained was 3.8 mm in diameter.
