Playing the “bad guy” to enhance next-generation safety
Sometimes, cops and robbers is more than just a kid’s game. Two types of plasma confinement modes (`hollow' and ambipolar `volume') were observed at PNX-U: model of plasma neutralizer for ITER NB injector. It is necessary to keep up the `volume' plasma confinement mode during a shot for optimal plasma neutralizer regime. Different ways for 'volume' mode conservation are described here.
