Hanford contractor settles fraud suit for $3.45M
Hanford Site services contractor Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) has agreed to pay the Department of Justice $3.45 million as part of a settlement agreement resolving allegations that HMIS overcharged the Department of Energy for millions of dollars in labor hours at the nuclear site in Washington state.

A blanket option featured by helium cooling and lithiated ceramics inside tubes is under development at CEA/ENEA within the framework of the European Test Blanket Program. A first conceptual design of this blanket option for a DEMO reactor has been arrived at, which exhibits good prospects for meeting DEMO requirements. Its critical issues are being addressed in an experimental programme presently in progress.
