A sel f-cooled Flibe blanket concept has been developed. The problems associated with tritium breeding, tritium containment, and corrosion have been investigated and potential solutions developed. A highly efficient and compact blanket and power conversion system has been incorporated. The resulting system is low pressure with high thermal efficiency and is inherently safe.
