South Korea looks to Southern and NuScale
This week, the United States and South Korea have taken two steps toward deepening their nuclear partnership through two notable announcements. First, the majority-state owned Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed a memorandum of understanding with Birmingham, Ala.–based Southern Nuclear.

This paper reviews some of the significant initiatives around the world that have been launched during the last decade to stop the decline of the influx of available well educated and well trained workforce. It also analyzes the use of research reactors and critical assemblies for education purposes, and concludes with some recommendations.
