Fusion research tackles fuel and instrumentation challenges

There have been long outstanding requests from the modeling community for uncertainty estimates on atomic data. This paper outlines a systematic approach from fundamental atomic structure and collisional calculations, through to well-known spectral diagnostic lines, correlating the uncertainties from each contributing process.
