A pair of NRC workshops coming up

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research is hosting two workshops on reactor topics before the end of the year.

First up: On November 28–29, the NRC, along with the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy and Idaho National Laboratory, will host a hybrid workshop on structural health management for nuclear power plants.

The workshop will be held at NRC headquarters in the Two White Flint North Auditorium, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Md., and online via Microsoft Teams. Registration is free, but attendees must register online.

Then comes: On December 5–6, the NRC will host a virtual workshop on the integration and implementation of security, safety, and safeguards in advanced reactors, microreactors, and advanced fuel fabrication facilities in both design and operations.

Attendees must register by November 17.
