ORNL to partner with Type One, UTK on fusion facility
Yesterday, Oak Ridge National Laboratory announced that it is in the process of partnering with Type One Energy and the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. That partnership will have one primary goal: to establish a high-heat flux facility (HHF) at the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bull Run Energy Complex in Clinton, Tenn.

Armed with a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Cameron brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to the table. Currently serving as the Executive of Global Product Management and Growth for Outage Maintenance and Services at the Westinghouse Electric Company, he oversees global initiatives to design products and services that enable the success of our customers.
Cameron’s experience includes executing and leading scope within safety analysis, licensing, structural design/modification, crane and refueling design/manufacturing, primary component replacement, secondary side modification, and field modification services. With a relentless passion for nuclear power and a proven track record of excellence in execution, Cameron drives transformative change through safety, technology, and sustainability.
