Division Spotlight
Operations & Power
Members focus on the dissemination of knowledge and information in the area of power reactors with particular application to the production of electric power and process heat. The division sponsors meetings on the coverage of applied nuclear science and engineering as related to power plants, non-power reactors, and other nuclear facilities. It encourages and assists with the dissemination of knowledge pertinent to the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities through professional staff development, information exchange, and supporting the generation of viable solutions to current issues.

The Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site in South Carolina recently joined in the nationwide celebration of the Department of Labor’s 10th annual National Apprenticeship Week, spotlighting the progress and diversity of its apprenticeship program that spans 27 occupations.

Leah Crider is the Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Westinghouse eVinciTM microreactor business. She has more than 17 years of experience in the nuclear industry in roles of related to Engineering, Project Management, Continuous Improvement and Commercial Operations. Leah is excited to lead the customer and product management teams supporting deployment of game-changing microreactor nuclear technology for a wide range of applications.
Prior to joining Westinghouse, Leah held multiple roles in GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s nuclear business, including Commercial Director for the fuels segment and the Product Management Operations Leader for the entire business. Leah served as the Chief Commercial Officer for Orano Federal Services.
She holds a B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech.
