U prices fall in February, remain relatively high
The end-of-February spot price for uranium was $86.95 per pound—down from last month’s $94.28—which was a two-year high—according to uranium fuel provider Cameco. Though down, this latest spot price is still higher than at any time since the $90.38 that Cameco listed at the end of May 2024.

Sandra serves as the Director of Systems Engineering & Integration for BWXT Advanced Technologies (AT). She and her team in BWXT AT provide experienced technical leadership and systems engineering support for terrestrial microreactor, space nuclear propulsion, and space power programs. Sandra has worked continuously in the nuclear field for 30+ years in areas including licensing, regulatory affairs, technical integration, safety analysis, thermal hydraulic modeling and simulation, project engineering leadership, and engineering management. In addition, she has served on the ANS Board of Directors, various ANS committees, and is a past chair of the ANS Operations & Power Division.
