Uranium Energy Corp. begins production at Burke Hollow
Uranium Energy Corp. (UEC) has begun production activities at its Burke Hollow in situ recovery (ISR) mining operation in southern Texas after receiving approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Uranium from the site will be processed at the Hobson Central Processing Plant, which serves as the hub to five satellite ISR projects (referred to as “spokes”) in the Texas Uranium Belt.
Advances in Nuclear Fuel Management (ANFM 2025)
Art Wharton is a strategic management professional in nuclear energy and personally dedicated to the advancement of nuclear science and technology for the benefit of humanity. Art began his career at Westinghouse Electric Company and he currently serves as the President at Studsvik Scandpower, a wholly owned subsidiary of Studsvik AB. He is a 4th generation Texan with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Art’s experience in nuclear science and technology ranges from research reactor operations, nuclear core design, project risk management, corporate strategy, product management, and business development.
