Fixing the barriers: How new policies can make U.S. nuclear exports competitive again
The United States has a strong marketplace of ideas on future civil nuclear technology. President Trump wants to see 10 large reactors under construction by 2030 and has discussed making $80 billion available for that objective. Evolutionary small modular reactors based on light water reactor technology are on the market now, and the Tennessee Valley Authority expects a construction permit for a project at its Clinch River Site later this year.

MTM specializes in large CNC milling and turning machining, manual and robotic welding, engineering, program management, inspection, and assembly services. Major Tool & Machine proudly serves a variety of industries, including nuclear, and specializes in many areas of the nuclear fuel cycle:
MTM offers turning, milling, high-speed machining, flexible manufacturing, welding, semi and automated robotic welding, fabrication, and material processing. You really have to see the facilities to fully appreciate the vast capabilities that are available. MTM was acquired in September 2021 by Precinmac, a family of precision machining and fabrication companies, and shares a sister company, Petersen Inc., which also heavily supports the nuclear industry.
Attire should be business casual/comfortable, closed-toed shoes are required. Safety glasses will also be required but will be provided to attendees.
