The American Nuclear Society is hosting a new Supplier Showcase webinar, “Reducing Cumulative Radiological Exposure with Advanced Source Term Removal Technologies,” on October 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (EDT) on recent advancements in decontamination technology.

The webinar is free for all viewers and requires registration.

Details: The event is being produced in collaboration with Dominion Engineering, a consulting, equipment, and services company focused on improving nuclear power plant performance, efficiency, and reliability.

The presentation will focus on the importance of reducing cumulative radiological exposure, which can hinder outage efficiency, compromise personnel safety, and affect overall plant performance.

Dominion’s president, Chuck Marks, will lead the webinar, covering the newest developments in ultrasonic cleaning, advanced filtration, and chemical decontamination technologies designed to reduce source term effectively.

Aside from going over the real-world applications of these technologies and reviewing their associated performance data, Marks will also share some key lessons learned from his 25-plus years at Dominion. Alongside overseeing the company as president, he has specialized throughout his career in nuclear plant chemistry, materials science, and long-term component degradation modeling.
