The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has published its 2022–2023 Information Digest, NUREG-1350, Vol. 34, which describes the agency's responsibilities and activities and provides general information regarding nuclear-related topics.

According to the NRC, the digest is intended to be a quick reference with important facts about the NRC and the industry it regulates presented publicly in an “easy-to-understand format” with visual aids.

“The Information Digest is one of the most important publications produced by our agency,” said NRC chair Christopher T. Hanson. “It’s a comprehensive, plain-language and visually attractive accounting of our work.”

Details: The digest, which is available online for free download, includes QR codes that direct users to the most recent information available on the NRC website. It also includes hyperlinks to additional information on major topics. Graphics, figures, maps, and data sets from the NRC are also available online.

According to the NRC, the digest will begin a two-year publication cycle starting with this edition. The next Information Digest with updated data will be published in February 2025.
