The American Nuclear Society is hosting a Supplier Showcase webinar, “License Renewal: Smarter, Faster, Better,” tomorrow, September 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (ET) on the increasing urgency of submitting license renewals and subsequent license renewals both efficiently and accurately.

The webinar is free for all viewers and requires registration.

Details: This webinar will feature industry experts from Excel Services Corporation, a regulatory and consulting services firm, and GSE Solutions, a nuclear engineering and software company. These experts will share their experience in helping utilities overcome common and uncommon issues in application and implementation projects.

In exploring how they have tackled these issues throughout their careers, the speakers will cover proven methods to reduce inspections and unnecessary modifications while still maintaining the highest safety standards. They will also cover the latest software tools available to simplify the application and implementation process. These tools range from aging management review tables, component databases, work management software, and new opportunities in the AI space.

The speakers: Keith Brinson and Annessa Lippincott will lead the discussion. They have a combined 40-plus years of license renewal experience across the nuclear industry.

Brinson is currently a senior project manager supporting global licensing initiatives at Excel. He was previously a manager of special nuclear projects at the Department of Defense. His career as a nuclear engineer has spanned naval shipyards, refueling projects, and reactor operations. He is experienced in license renewal, fuel cycle optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Also a seasoned nuclear engineer, Lippincott has experience in design, operations, licensing, reactor engineering, safety analysis, and license renewal. She currently serves as a senior consultant at GSE, where she develops solutions for nuclear power plants, including authoring a first-of-its-kind buried pipe aging management program. Her career includes key roles at Callaway Energy Center, where she pioneered virtual inspections during the COVID-19 pandemic and led multidisciplinary teams to fulfill complex regulatory commitments.
