Details: For NEI, NECX is a reenvisioning of the Nuclear Energy Assembly, the organization’s yearly gathering for industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss and shape the future of nuclear.
For ANS, the event is the next evolution of the ANS Utility Working Conference and Technology Expo, the Society’s annual meeting to bring together the industry’s brightest minds to discuss key developments and opportunities in the sector.
Together, NEI and ANS are offering an opportunity to meet and network with 80 exhibitors from every corner of the industry, including Bechtel, Constellation, Framatome, GE Vernova, X-energy, and many more.
Aside from seeing new innovations from nuclear vendors and networking with other industry professionals, attendees will also be able to sit in on expert sessions on a wide range of topics, including regulatory affairs, artificial intelligence applications, autonomous robotics, workforce development, fleet modernization, and advanced nuclear technology.
Kudos given: Two awards will be presented at NECX 2025, the Top Innovative Practice (TIP) Award and the Henry DeWolf Smyth Nuclear Statesman Award.
The TIP Award honors individuals and teams from NEI member utilities who have significantly improved transferable practices, processes, or equipment for the industry.
The presentation of the Smyth Award is an event perfectly suited for NECX 2025. Like the conference itself, the award is a joint effort between ANS and NEI. Presented once a year to only one individual, it recognizes that individual for their outstanding service in developing and guiding the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
