2018 ANS Congressional Fellow to work with Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur

ANS member Dr. Charles "Chip" Martin will be working with Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur from Ohio’s 9th district as part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and 2018 ANS Congressional Fellowship. He was named the 2018 Glenn T. Seaborg Congressional Fellow on June 28, 2017.

Dr. Martin said he looks forward to working with U.S. Representative Kaptur and begins his official duties January 2, 2018

Kaptur is now in her 18th term in the House of Representatives and serves on the House Appropriations Committee and she is the ranking member of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee. She also serves on the Appropriations Defense Subcommittee. Congresswoman Kaptur is also the senior-most woman in the House and the longest-serving woman from Ohio in history. She ranks among the most senior members of the 115th Congress.
