House Unanimously Passes Bill in Support of Nuclear Reactor Research

The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Nuclear Energy Innovation Capabilities Act (H.R.4084) on February 29, a bill ANS advocated for in a letter of support to Full Committee (Energy Sub-committee) Ranking Member Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) and Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) in December 2015.

The bipartisan bill supports federal research and development of advanced nuclear reactor technologies and enables the private sector to leverage the infrastructure capabilities of federal labs to advance reactor concepts.
