Academic Team Recognized for Spent Nuclear Fuel Project
An academic project team from across the country are being recognized for their efforts in analyzing the content of spent nuclear fuel. Their research paper "Determination of plutonium content in spent fuel from passive gamma measurements," focuses on measuring the contents prior to the fuel being opened and sent off to a laboratory.
The team will present their research at the American Nuclear Society Winter Meeting, held this November in Washington, D.C.
