Let your "Voices of Innovation" be heard

The American Association of Engineering Societies (AAES) has launched an exciting new venture that is geared toward promoting engineering marvels. "Voices of Innovation" is a daily 2-minute radio program that explores and celebrates the world of engineering. Nationally syndicated radio personality and journalist Jim Metzner is executive producer of all Voices of Innovation spots.

Members of the American Nuclear Society have the opportunity to provide story ideas and individuals to profile on this new radio endeavor, which was launched on Sept. 2. We need the ideas of ANS members in uncovering story ideas, as well as identifying individuals who would be able to tell their story and provide a glimpse into their innovations that have impacted society.

This is an excellent opportunity for ANS and its members to discuss how nuclear engineering innovations and ingenuity have impacted the general public's everyday lives. It's an opportunity for ANS to provide "a window into the lives of people who transform imagination and ingenuity into technological wonders."

The mission of Voices of Innovation, according to the AAES, is to "key into the passion, excitement and genius that inspires the men and women who make technological miracles a part of our everyday experience."

If you know any individuals in the nuclear community who have worked on engineering marvels and have made major contributions to our world, ANS wants to hear from you. Your ideas could be profiled on the Voices of Innovation.

Keeping in mind that no idea is a bad idea, please send your ideas to the ANS Outreach Department, 708-579-8224.
