Senior policy analyst and ANS member Samuel Brinton was recently interviewed by Michigan NPR radio show Stateside regarding the debate and potential risks of storing nuclear waste near Lake Huron.

The topic relates to a proposal by Ontario Power Generation to bury low- and intermediate-level nuclear waste less than a mile from the lake. This has prompted the question by many in the region as to what are the risks posed by the storage of this waste?

Brinton is an MIT graduate, well-known expert in nuclear waste policies, and a member the Speakers Bureau.
