Free Webinar on Gen IV Reactor Design

The Generation IV International Forum invites you to attend a free webcast on the rationale for selecting Generation IV reactor systems, and their main characteristics. It will be broadcast on November 22, 2016 at 8:30 am EDT.

This webcast will help stakeholders to understand the following:

  • The fundamentals of nuclear reactor design
  • What is behind the terms “criticality,” “breeding,” and “fast or thermal neutrons?”
  • How to select the coolant, moderator, neutron spectrum, fuel materials, composition and the ad hoc combinations to design nuclear reactors in line with Generation IV criteria, in particular sustainability

Policymakers, managers, regulators, students, and the general public can register at www.gen-4.org

The online event is being hosted by the Gen IV International Forum and is being presented by senior expert and professor Claude Renault of The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission.
