Watts Bar Nuclear Reactor Unit 2 Reaches 100% Power

The Tennessee Valley Authority announced the Watts Bar Nuclear Reactor, Unit 2 reactor completed power ascension tests this weekend and is now producing 1,150 megawatts of clean energy, which is enough to supply power to more than 600,000 homes.

The second reactor of Watts Bar is the first nuclear reactor to be completed in the United States since 1996.
