Future of Nuclear Power Report Released by the DOE

The Secretary of Energy Advisory Board Task Force on the Future of Nuclear Power released its draft report this week. The conclusion? "Nuclear overnight capital costs must decline, and electricity markets must recognize the value of carbon-free electricity generation based on the social cost of carbon emissions avoided."

The draft report will be considered for approval by the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board at its quarterly meeting in Washington, D.C. on September 22, 2016.
