First Girl Scouts Earn the Get to Know Nuclear Patches

Five girls from the Girl Scout Troop 10340 Cadettes of the Girl Scouts Louisiana East Council are the first to earn the ANS Get to Know Nuclear Patches.

The cadettes traveled to Riverbend Nuclear Power Plant, where they participated in several activities while at the workshop to earn their patches. The workshop included sessions about isotopes, heat energy, a tour of the computer control center, and more. The troop is a multi-level troop of 60 girls from age 5 through 14.
