The Pacific Nuclear Council established a taskforce on the management of low level radioactive waste at its meeting in Sydney on May 5, 1994. The objective was to produce a report within one year reviewing the management of low level radioactive waste in member countries (United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, China, South Korea, and Mexico) with recommendations to assist countries planning low level radioactive waste management programs for nuclear power and nuclear applications. This report is the result of that meeting.
