The results obtained from the analysis of two operational transients - a load rejection and a main steam isolation valve closure, both at conditions near 100% of rated power - of the Laguna Verde nuclear power plant using RETRAN-03 (RETRAN) are presented. The methodology followed to obtain the cross section for the RETRAN-03 one-dimensional kinetics model using the fuel management system package is also discussed.
