PSC approves to Continue Construction of Vogtle Units 3 and 4

Today, Georgia Power and the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) came to an agreement to moving ahead on the construction of Vogtle Units 3 and 4.

Under a new management structure, development of the two units will continue with the following provisions:
- New cost and schedule estimates to reduce the burden on ratepayers
- The inclusion of a solar plant on the Vogtle site
- Unit 3 can be rolled into the rate base when it enters commercial operation

ANS believes that the sustained operation of our nation's nuclear fleet is vital to the continued security and economic prosperity of the United States and the world.
