Nuclear Science Week: ANS Sections Get Public Involved
Teacher Twitter Contest Encourages Nuclear Lessons
ANS is a supporting partner of Nuclear Science Week (NSW), October 17-21. The ANS Wilmington local section is hosting the official national Big Event, with active participation from the ANS student section and Women in Nuclear student chapter at North Caroline State University (see the National Calendar of Events).
To encourage teachers to participate in NSW, ANS is sponsoring a Twitter Contest, with prizes going to those who post the most pictures of nuclear activities using #ansnsw2016. They are being encouraged to go to NuclearConnect.org to download or order handouts and other materials, find nuclear classroom activities, and sign up for the ReActions newsletter.
