ANS Congratulates Maria Korsnick as President & CEO of NEI

The American Nuclear Society congratulates Maria Korsnick on her continued leadership role at Nuclear Energy Institute as President and Chief Operating Officer.

“Maria’s operational background and expertise makes her the ideal person to continue the Nuclear Promise initiative,” said ANS President Dr. Andy Klein. “Her leadership comes at an important time when nuclear energy has demonstrated the pivotal role it plays in producing large amounts of clean, reliable power and as our country is devising critical strategies to reduce carbon-emissions.”

Korsnick was elected by the NEI Board today to serve as President and CEO beginning January 1, 2017. She is currently NEI's chief operating officer as a loaned executive from Exelon Generation and Constellation Energy Nuclear Group (CENG).

Maria Korsnick has been an ANS member since 2007 and is involved in the Fuel Cycle & Waste Management Division and the Operations & Power Division.
