Reach Out to the Scouts

ANS has created a program for Girl Scouts throughout the United States:  the Get to Know Nuclear patch. Designed to encourage teamwork while helping nurture girls’ interest in STEM careers, Get to Know Nuclear was developed by ANS in cooperation with the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Council. Details of requirements to earn the patch are on NuclearConnect.org. More than 1,000 Girl Scouts earned the patch in 2015. In addition, a number of sections have already completed the program and are eager to mentor others who want to reach out to scouts. Contact ANS Education and Community Outreach Specialist Janice Lindegard for further information.
