Nuclear Energy Promoted at Paris Climate Talks

Today, December 3 it was reported that a 50-page draft agreement was released by climate negotiators as a starting point to negotiations with the goal of devising a more streamlined version.

Also, a press conference was held this day featuring climate scientists and environmentalists James Hansen, Tom Wigley, Ken Caldeira, and Kerry Emanuel, in which the topic of nuclear figured prominently.

Nuclear for Climate has two booths; one in the hall accessible only to delegates and media, and the La Galerie business exhibit hall accessible to accredited visitors with both having a steady stream of interested visitors. ANS Director of Communications Tari Marshall noted that the majority of visitors were genuinely interested in discussing how their nations are progressing with nuclear programs.
