Nominating Committee Selects 2016 Candidates

Vice President / President-Elect Candidates
The ANS Nominating Committee has selected as the candidates for Vice President/President-Elect:

  • Robert N. Coward (Principal Officer, MPR Associates, Inc.)
  • James P. Malone (Chief Nuclear Fuel Development Officer, Lightbridge Corporation)

Nomination by Petition – Vice President / President-Elect Candidate

    • The Executive Office has received one petition candidate for Vice President / President-Elect:  Margaret E. Harding (Consultant, 4Factor Consulting, LLC).

Board of Directors Candidates
The ANS Board of Directors each serve a three‑year term that begins and ends during an ANS Annual Meeting. The ANS Bylaws and Rules require that U.S. and Non‑U.S. members be proportionately represented; therefore, in the 2016 election, there are four (4) U.S. Director At-Large and one (1) Non-U.S. Director At-Large positions to be filled.

U.S. Director At-Large Position Candidates
Nominated to run for the U.S. Director At-Large positions are:

      • Sue Aggarwal (NMNTI)
      • James W. Behrens (Retired-US Navy)
      • Jeffrey L. Bradfute (Westinghouse Electric Company)
      • Daniel L. Churchman (Southern Nuclear Corporation)
      • Harsh S. Desai (BMPC - Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory)
      • John H. Kessler (J. Kessler and Associates, LLC)
      • Todd S. Palmer (Oregon State University)
      • Larry L. Wetzel (BWX Technologies, Inc.)
      • William (Art) Wharton, III (Westinghouse Electric Company)

Non-U.S. Director At-Large Position Candidates
Nominated to run for the Non-U.S. Director At-Large – Americas - Canada position are:

      • Eleodor M. Nichita (University of Ontario Institute of Technology)
      • Jacques Plourde (J.A. Plourde Performance, Ltd.)

Voting

Ballots for the 2015‑2016 election will be submitted electronically on February 29, 2016. Ballots for the national election must be returned and received no later than 12 noon (CDT) on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
