Passing of Past ANS President Don Miller

ANS announces the passing of past ANS President and Fellow Don Wilson Miller, 1996-1997.

Dr. Miller was a professor of Mechanical & Aerospace engineering at Ohio State University. His career began in nuclear medicine research and later expanded to the expertise of power side of nuclear technology.

He joined ANS 1972, and later was the chair of his local section. Since that time, he was active in the Education, Training & Workforce Development Division and the Human Factors, Instrumentation & Controls Division.

Dr. Miller attended Miami University in Ohio where he received a B.S. and Master’s in physics. He attended Ohio State University to pursue his PhD in nuclear engineering where he later taught and became the chair of the nuclear engineering department, as well as the director of the Ohio State University nuclear laboratory.
