New York Times Calls for 'Ramping Up' of Nuclear Energy

Citing the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Editorial Board of the New York Times called for immediate action and utilization of nuclear energy.

The IPCC Report called for a reduction of greenhouse gasses between 40 and 70 percent by midcentury. The Times called for countries to adopt nuclear energy, vastly increasing other renewable sources, and phasing out coal-fired plants in an effort to reach that reduction.
