Snake Inspection Robot Takes on Nuclear Power Plants

A snake-like robot designed at Carnegie Mellon University is being put to the test at an inactive power plant in Austria. The goal is to use the slithering technology to capture images at nuclear power plants that inspectors cannot access.

Former ANS President Larry Foulke called the innovation "... a wow machine. And there are certainly going to be more applications for this in the future."
