Home / Public Information / Media / Media Access to ANS National Meetings

The American Nuclear Society welcomes recognized media representatives to attend annual, topical, and international meetings. ANS Outreach staff will gladly schedule interviews with keynote speakers, session presenters, and ANS members whose experience and knowledge are of interest. Media representatives are asked to contact ANS Outreach staff to facilitate the scheduling of interviews. Members of the media who attend individual sessions will have direct access to delegates and observers, so they will be able to request interviews directly, after the session concludes.

To receive press credentials, ANS allows media representatives to register over the internet or by fax, using the general registration form for the meeting. Members of the media requesting attendance at an ANS event should follow the normal registration procedures and submit all necessary forms, clearly indicating your position as a member of the media. Registration to meetings is free, however, payment is required for access to any tours, ceremonies, or events for which fees are indicated.

Press Qualifications

On occasion, we may require a letter from your publisher, editor, or broadcast producer on official stationary.

In general, media passes shall be issued only to representatives of:

  1. Daily and weekly newspapers and periodicals with a general circulation.
  2. Recognized national or international news services.
  3. Radio/television stations maintaining regular news departments.
  4. Freelance writers, photographers, contributing editors, or videographers with verification that they are covering the ANS event for a recognized news organization or a publication.

Media passes will be given to reporters, writers, editors, publishers, photographers, or videographers from print, broadcast, and online outlets who meet these qualifications.
