ANS > ANS gives to Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund
Dear ANS Member,

ANS has chosen to support the disaster relief effort for Hurricane Katrina by making a contribution.  The ANS Officers approved a $10,000 contribution to relief efforts for the people in the affected states.  The contribution was made to the Power of Hope Fund (described below), which is administered by the Mid South Foundation.  The Fund was established by Entergy to help all who have been affected by the hurricane.

We acknowledge and encourage the generosity of ANS members in this time of great need.

Sincerely,

E. James Reinsch
2005-2006 ANS President
Many worthy organizations are available to receive contributions to help with disasters.  They include the American Red Cross, United Way, FEMA, and the Salvation Army.
The Power of Hope Fund

Established by Entergy to provide aid to employees and customers impacted by Hurricane Katrina.  The fund will benefit those who need assistance rebuilding their lives after Katrina.  The focus of the fund is to help families get back on their feet after the disaster.  Entergy seeded the fund with a $1 million corporate contribution.  Within just a few days, the fund has grown to $2.4 million.

The Power of Hope Fund is administered through the Foundation for the Mid South.  The fund will provide Katrina victims with financial aid and assistance with basic necessities such as housing, household goods and transportation, etc.

Tax-deductible contributions can be accepted by phone, mail, or online:
