The Reactor Technology Award is presented to an individual or individuals who have made original and excellent contributions to the advancement of reactor technology. This award was established in 1993 at the request of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan with funds received from earnings from the ANS 1992 topical meeting. The nomination should emphasize recognition of advancements in the areas of design and safety in reactors.

Nominees need not be members of ANS, but should be living at the time he or she is selected. Nominations can be made on the standard nomination form with a full letter of recommendation, including a narrative summary of 1,000 words or less describing accomplishments in the field, a description of the significance of achievements and period of activity, an appended list of publications and a brief chronological resume.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is July 1.
